After meticulously shopping for a new Prius II at literally every Toyota dealership in the state of Rhode Island (!), I finally settled on purchasing my new hybrid from Tarbox in North Kingston where they worked hard with me to settle on an affordable price for my new vehicle. You can be sure to get an honest deal on your new car at this establishment. What is most ... impressive about this dealership, however, is their customer service. Not surprisingly, I met a lot of friendly salespeople in my Prius-purchasing adventure. But none were as knowledgeable as the people you will work with at this dealership. I owned my last car for 10 years, and so this is my first hybrid vehicle. Bill Derby (whom I highly recommend as a salesperson) took the time to explain every feature of the vehicle at least twice over to me (both before and after I bought the car); he answered all of my questions and promised his continued help in the future if any concerns were to arise on my part. The employees at tarbox are looking to establish a long-term relationship with their customers, and, therefore, you can expect to be treated exceptionally well at this dealership before and after you sign the dotted line. In the meantime, the business manager who worked with me, Sarkis Tarpinian, also took a LOT of time in explaining every detail regarding the financing process of my new car. (This was important to me since I am not a numbers person! Sarkis was extremely patient with my financial anxiety :) Tarbox is one of the somewhat larger Toyota dealerships in the state, and many of the smaller dealers will insist that this makes them less "friendly" or reliable. Don't be fooled my the mom-and-pop dealer sales pitch. At Tarbox, I was treated extremely well; the service was impeccable. They took their time with me, AND they do lots of business there, so you will have plenty of choices on the lot. I drove away with a beautiful, black, clean, fueled-up and cared-for, new Prius II, which I actually understand how to drive and which I purchased at a price I could live with! It hasn't been long, but so far the car and I are very happy together. Here's hoping we still are years down the line!
We started at Tarbox 10 yrs ago when we bought our Carolla,passing that down now & found the car "to beat" at Tarbox , we went from Narragansett to Dartmouth to test drive others , back to Tarbox for my new used Camry SE.. LOVE IT! Thanks Anthony Turchetta
I just bought a 2013 RAV4 and love the vehicle. The process was smooth and hassle free. There was no pressure at all. The salesman I dealt with was Anton Dushi and he was excellent. I cannot recommend him more highly and will be referring anyone I know that is looking to buy a Toyota to him directly.
This was by far the best car buying experience that I have ever had. I did all of the negotiating online with Greg Slater. He was very responsive and polite. We worked out a good price online and then I went to the dealership to finalize the deal. I was expecting some surprises (price change or additional huge fees). I was pleasently surprised when I got there and ... there were no additional fees. The deal that we agreed to online was the deal that I got when I went to the dealership. The finance manager was also very polite and courteous. Unfortunately, I do not remember her name.
