 June 18th 12pm - Gay Pride Parade -  South Water Street Greenway, right alongside the Providence River

Taking place on Saturday from noon until 8 pm, PrideFest is held along the picturesque South Water Street Greenway, right alongside the Providence River. Many different artists perform at Pride each year. At the event, the crowds will be entertained by Lulu Locks, Jodi Jolt and The Volt, Lily Whiteass, and many more. 

That same evening, Saturday at 8:45 pm, the Illuminated Night Gay Pride Parade commences downtown by Kennedy Plaza and meanders through the city's vibrant downtown.

 

June 25th 8am -  Rhode Island Saltwater Anglers Association's "Take a Kid Fishing Day" - Brewers Greenwich Bay Marina (Warwick, RI)


Last year 145 children from the various Boys and Girls Clubs, Scouting groups, neighborhood groups, the Providence Recreation Department and several group homes were treated to a great morning of fishing on the bay, followed by a big cookout of hot dogs and burgers. All members, boats and kids will arrive at Brewers Greenwich Bay Marina (Warwick, RI) by 8:00 A.M. and fishing will take place in Greenwich Bay from 9:00 to 11:30 A.M. June 25th 7pm - 11pm -  Zoobilee! - Roger Williams Park Zoo 

Zoobilee!, features fine fare from dozens of the area's best restaurants, caterers and bars, as well as fabulous entertainment including live music and dancing, and other fun surprises! This is an adults-only evening event (21+). Zoobilee! is the Zoo's largest single night fundraiser. Thanks to the support of ALEX AND ANI | CHARITY BY DESIGN, local businesses and sponsors like Tarbox Toyota and Hyundai, a dedicated committee of community leaders and about 1,400 guests, Roger Williams Park Zoo’s 2015 Zoobilee! July 22th-24th - 38th Annual South County Hot Air Balloon Festival - University of Rhode Island Athletic Fields, Kingston RI

The Annual South County Hot Air Balloon Festival is an ongoing gathering of community, bbq, music, and of course lots of balloons. The event is held at the University of Rhode Island Athletic Fields in Kingston, Rhode Island each July, and features up to 14 hot air balloonists or aeronauts for three days of flying around Southern Rhode Island. http://southcountyballoonfest.com/events.php

 

August 5th & 19th - Movies on the Beach - North Kingstown Town Beach in Wickford

Come and see "Inside Out" on August 5th and/or "Star Wars the Force Awakens" on August 19th!  This event is free of charge.  This event will be hosted by the North Kingstown Chamber Charitable Foundation.  Tarbox will be an executive producer of this fun filled event!

Friends of Homeless Animals rescue small dogs with big hearts.  They are a non profit volunteer group that helps rescue and save Boston Terriers, Boston mixes and other small dogs, when resources permit, from kill shelters both locally and afar. They rescue locally and all around the country if our help is needed. The Autism Project will host it's 14th annual Imagine Walk and Family Fun Day for Autism on Sunday, April 24, 2016.  The Imagine Walk is followed by a Family Fun Day event that features an assortment of free activities designed for children and teens with autism and their families including: a reptile show, obstacle course, bounce house, face painting, arts and crafts, and more...

Follow signs to The Autism Project Imagine Walk and Family Fun Day for parking and check in. We'll be there rain or shine, and we hope you will too!

Please come and help support a Fundraiser for Kendal Beffre.  She is a 10-year-old top student at Centredale Elementary School who was diagnosed with a rare type cancer called alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma. Friends and family are planning a pasta dinner fundraiser for the Beffre family on Friday, Nov. 6, from 5 to 9 p.m. at North Providence High School. The cost is $5 per ticket at the door. November 8th - East Greenwich Education Foundation Spelling Bee - East Greenwich High School Gymnasium - 300 Avenger Dr, East Greenwich, RI 02818

EGEF will be hosting its first annual community-wide Spelling Bee on Sunday, November 8th at 4:30pm in the EGHS gymnasium. The event is free and open to the public. The Bee consists of six rounds for six different community groups — elementary school students, middle school students, high school students, PTG members, teachers/coaches, and local community leaders. Each round will have six teams of three people. The event will culminate in a championship round where winners from the earlier rounds face-off for the grand prize – bragging rights. Rhode Island State Representative Anthony Giarrusso will be the master of ceremonies, and Jennifer Cosgrove, Sherri Tracey, and Tracy Barron are co-chairing the event.  April 26th Sunday 10 AM Tarbox is a Proud sponsor of the Rhode Island State Police “5K Foot Pursuit” 3.1-mile road race - at the Narragansett Beach Pavilion in Narragansett, RI

This event has been sanctioned by the United States Track and Field Organization and is also part of the Rhode Island Grand Prix race series. The Troopers Association is a non-profit organization that donates its proceeds to local charities. Following the race, a cookout along with refreshments will be served.  Each year a race shirt has been provided to entrants with all the sponsors’ names displayed prominently.
